Glaciers EP – 1 year anniversary

One year ago-today, I released my most experimental (at the time) set of tracks, an mainly ambient “Glaciers EP”. It was leftfield, ambient techno, and an emotional experiment. With sulking melodies, awash with bold pads and synthesizer patches, albeit the track “Glacier”. It contains 4 tracks which mean a lot to me. The track Glacier was actually a live experiment, comp’d and mixed afterwards, and included an AKAI drum machine live, the Microkorg synth, bass patches and more, all improvised. It was tracked back in 2011. I then compiled more recent recordings, and mixed my tracks into a 4 song set, that is quite emotionally presented on tape. It is an excursion into soul-searching, yet grounded. Here it is on any platform, officially was released April 15, 2022. The concept of the Glaciers, a pressing world issue on climate change, and realistically, about ever-changing landscapes. Artwork by a friend from B.C., Canada.

Excerpt from Facebook post: About 1 year ago, released the “Glaciers EP”, a 4 track sonic excursion and musical adventure. Though a bit serious and sombre in tone, it includes “Glacier”, mixed with guitar effects, bass, Microkorg Synth and The Akai XR20 drum machine, plus 3 other soft synth soundscapes, with granular sound design and editing. It was musically inspired by Autechre, Radiohead, Boards of Canada, Plaid, and other artists. Here is the blog post, includes a link to stream it or buy it on any platform you wish, Soundcloud, Apple, iTunes, Beatport, Youtube, Soundcloud. Enjoy it as much as I did making it!
