Ouveure is the guitar-based, experimental side-project of Lexic Task’s Matt Kay, from TO, Canada. ouveure focuses on guitar improvisation, alongside using guitar effects pedals, and focuses on electric guitar synths and piano, sometimes processed through reverb, delay and other effects, and rarely uses acoustic guitar. Some tracks were outtakes from the Lexic Task sessions, but most tracks are specific to the ouveure project.

The new album “Higher Resignations” (released Nov 4, 2025) is a post-rock, ambient, alternative and instrumental excursion into sonic adventures of jams in my studio, and recorded, mixed, produced and played all my Matthew Kusiba, aka Lexic Task, with ouveure as the main artist (both are Matt’s projects).
